Privacy Policy
Poko AI is designed from the ground up for children and families. We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of both parents and young learners in strict compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international privacy laws.
The short version
- A parent or guardian creates and owns the account. Children never sign up, never log in, and never have their own credentials.
- We collect the minimum we need to run the app. No advertising, no ad identifiers, no tracking across other apps or websites, no selling of anyone's data — ever.
- Parents can read every conversation, delete what Poko remembers, and delete the whole account at any time.
- Our safety filter actively blocks children from sharing personal information like an address or phone number.
What we collect
From the parent (the account holder)
- Email address — to create the account and sign in
- Display name — to personalise the parent dashboard
- Country, timezone, language — to show correct times
- Consent records — legally required proof of verifiable parental consent
- Subscription and billing status — managed through Google Play In-App Billing (no card details are ever stored on our servers)
About the child (entered by the parent)
- Display name or nickname — so Poko can address the child
- Date of birth — to set age-appropriate safety rules
- Interests (optional) — to make conversations relevant
We do not ask for the child's real full name, address, phone number, school, or photograph.
Created while the child uses Poko
- Chat messages and voice inputs — to hold a conversation and let the parent review it
- "Memories" — short facts Poko remembers (e.g., "likes dinosaurs"), deletable by parent
- Safety events — an excerpt of any blocked message for parental oversight
- Usage data — session times, message counts (for dashboard and limits)
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal information. We share only with vendors processing on our behalf under strict data protection agreements:
- Supabase — secure database and authentication infrastructure
- Anthropic / Groq — privacy-preserving AI language models (conversations are not used to train public foundation models)
- Deepgram — ephemeral speech-to-text processing for voice adventures
- Render — secure cloud backend hosting
- Google Play Billing — in-app purchases and subscriptions

- Web / Email Request: You can also request complete account and data deletion by sending an email with your account email address to support@nakshaya.com. We will process and confirm your request within 48 hours.
